Issue 9.3 is shaping up, but still there is a drought. We depend on water, we are water. Some of us like to swim, others get waterlogged. Sea creatures, trees, and the weather know water. I'm thirsty, still reading for 9.3, and open to more written submissions: poems and stories, perhaps a thoughtful essay. Please do send if you have a fresh take on something new and something good. Water-related would also be just fine.

I'm still reading for Fall! Looking for short/flash works of fiction, narrative nonfiction, and poetry that are both personal and connect with the wider world, something only you could write. While there is no theme, here are some questions to think about: interactions between humans and wilder areas and/or animals; changes in the world; how we relate to one another; food and various meanings; or? We are welcoming our 34th issue of Star 82 Review ! Thank you to all the contributors for your thoughtful and heartfelt work, and to the readers and subscribers for spreading the words around! Star 82 Review , issue 9.2 is in progress. The second proof has been ordered, the web pages are being finalized. The issue has come together nicely around the natural world and the role we humans play in it, with other life forms and with one another. Meanwhile, I've started reading for Fall 9.3 and would love to see more works on this subject as well as other thoughtful and heartfelt, mind- and world view-expanding themes.
