I'm happy to report that the first proof of Star 82 Review summer issue, 14.2 has been ordered, and I will be working on web pages very soon. In the meantime, I am always reading and viewing for future issues. If you have something that would fit the mood of the magazine for fall, please read the guidelines and send it along! Star 82 Review Celebrates 50 Issues

We had a lively reading and small art exhibit after hours at CoRo coffee room to celebrate the publication of Star 82 Review 13.2, Summer Reading Anthology . Thanks to the prose writers included in the latest issue who read: Elaje López, Deepti Nalavade Mahule, Shira Musicant, and Kimberly Sweeney, and local poets: Sarah Kobrinsky, Daniel Ari, and Heikki Huotari. Local contributing artists to past issues who had wonderful art on display: Kay Bradner, Carole Jeung, Bryan Kring, Lauren Ari, David Johnson and Dianne Ayres. (You can look all of them up at star82review.com .) I've always wanted Star 82 to be a kind of oasis, a place of connection and renewal, perhaps a place to recharge in order to go forward, and it was a joy to celebrate in person.  Even though I have no staff, I cannot do it alone. Thank you for contributing, for reading, for supporting the magazine.

It's here! The collection of 50 prose pieces plus black and white art is now available online and in print. Enjoy it on your travels or read while reclining on your staycation. Entertaining and thoughtful, these pieces are a delightful revisit to work previously published in *82 . 50th Issue, Summer Reading Anthology Coming Soon!

In celebration of Star 82 Review 's 50th issue, I have compiled 50 prose pieces and collected black and white artwork from 2019 to the present (see earlier b&w art in the Pocket Poems Anthology ). It has been a joy to revisit 49 back issues. Watch for a possible publication party/lively reading as well. Stay Tuned! Meanwhile, here is a sneak peek at the upcoming cover.

Interview with AI Re: Star 82 Review Content

A friend of mine is interested in how AI/Large Language Models work. For our amusement, he asked it about Star 82 Review . It was not good at details, but it proved remarkably astute at generalities after he cautioned it not to make things up.  For contributors: I think it will prove helpful regarding subjects, tone, and the types of humor I publish; I felt it captured the essence of the magazine. However, at the end when it suggests authors, I would add E.B. White and Grace Paley. The first proof of 13.1 has been ordered, and in a few weeks the issue will be released. It is a beautiful compilation of poetry, prose, and tons of inspiring art: quite a visual bonanza.
